A white and winning smile bolsters self-confidence and plays into your hand in many of life’s social settings. If you have one or two teeth in your smile that have been rendered visually unappealing by chips, old fillings or discolored tooth enamel, our dentists, Dr. Rafael A. Pereza and Dr. Sarah Fritzsch, can offer several cosmetic dental options.

Dental veneers might be called for to replace the faces of teeth that suffer from multiple cosmetic imperfections. However, if you only have one or two teeth in your smile with cosmetic imperfections, your dentist might recommend restoring each of them with a porcelain dental crown.

After a thorough examination, your dentist will use a drill to remove the entire tooth enamel layer from each tooth. Our team will then create an impression of the abutments and surrounding teeth. This will be sent to a dental lab where the porcelain crowns will be custom made. Temporary crowns will be secured onto the abutments to protect them while the dental lab technician does their work.

You will need to come back for a second appointment when your porcelain crowns are ready. The temporary crowns will be carefully removed and the porcelain crowns will be cemented in place with a potent dental-grade adhesive.

If you live in the Wichita Falls, Texas, area and you have unappealing teeth in your smile, we encourage you to call our team at 940-692-2851 to explore your cosmetic dental options available at Stone Lake Dental.
